Together, we can make a difference in the lives of people affected by cardiac disease in Papua New Guinea. Thank you for your support!

The CTSPNG works in partnership with other organizations, both nationally and internationally, to support the development of sustainable cardiac care programs in Papua New Guinea. The society collaborates with organizations such as the Open Heart International and the World Heart Federation to share knowledge and resources and support the delivery of cardiac care services.

It is important to note that some people with cardiac disease may not experience any symptoms or may have only mild symptoms. Regular check-ups with a healthcare provider and screening tests such as blood pressure, cholesterol, and ECG can help detect cardiac disease early, even in the absence of symptoms.

The incidence and prevalence of cardiac disease in Papua New Guinea are not well documented. However, research suggests that the burden of cardiac disease in the country is high, with rheumatic heart disease being a major cause of morbidity and mortality.
